Cambridge Diet

You buy a series of powders (to make into drinks), bars and 'tetra-briks' (ready-made shakes) which are 'nutritionally complete formulas'. Started off as a VLCD (very low calorie diet), and can be used in plans between 415 and 1500 calories a day.

What Can I Eat

Powders, bars and ready-made shakes that you buy from the company.

Pros

  • Easy to follow - just use the products
  • You have a Cambridge Counsellor to offer support

Cons

You won't be eating food, you will only be consuming their powders and bars

This is not the most exciting of diets

You have to see your Cambridge Counsellor to buy supplies

Our Verdict

If variety is the spice of life when it comes to food, this is not the diet for you. If, however, you're happy to consume powders, shakes and nutrition bars to achieve your weight loss, it's a simple programme to follow. Can be tricky if you have any kind of social life that involves eating out.
